Lady Rose's Sire is the famous Gypsy horse,The Lion King. We could go on and on about him. What a magnificient combination for a Drum Horse Filly. Lady Rose's bloodline is considerably rare being that she has Shire, Friesian and Gyspy Cob blood. Meridian is 1/2 Shire and 1/2 Friesian. There are not many (if any) Gypsy Drum horses in America with Friesian lines. Out of 2500+ horses in the Friesian Sport Horse Registry less than 1% are Shire crosses.

Lady Rose was born here on our farm May 2nd, 2007, in the wee hours of the morning. She was born on a full moon known as the "Flower Moon" according to our calendar. She was named by my husband Jim as we were coming back from the Gypsy Cob & Drum Horse Classic held in Lexington Kentucky, May 2007.

Lady Rose has an exceptional friendly charisma that is charming and polite. She has the kind eyes and the most unusual markings. She doesn't seem to be afraid of anything and she loves to run and go exploring.

An interesting story begins with her in utero. At that particular time I spoke to God and said "God, I don't really mind how she is marked as long as she is black and white. Just paint her anyway you would like" And HE did! What a work of art!

Durning the pregnancy something just told me Lady Rose was going to be a filly! That she is......... all girl! Long eye lashes and all. She is the sweetest thing since candy.
