At the present we have one Gypsy mare for breeding pure Gypsy horses and a Friesian Sport Horse mare for breeding pure Drum horses.

From the moment she first arrived on our farm Queenie demonstrated her wonderful Gypsy horse qualities. She bonded with us immediately, walked calmly around her new quarters and allowed some children here at our farm to crawl under her in a display of how easy going and friendly she is. Queenie brings absolute joy to my heart.

Sire: The Original Kent Horse
Dam: Tom Brazil's mare

Queenie has all the qualities that a Romany breeder would be proud of:

  • A sweet head
  • Abundant feathering
  • Nice broad chest
  • Plump round apple rump
  • Kind eyes
  • Long luxurious mane and tail
  • Kind and willing to work with attitude
  • Very affectionate with people
  • Nice proportionate markings
  • Lovely ground covering movement
  • Intelligent

Queenie has proven herself with her filly she gave birth to on our farm July 21, 2006, Her Royale Highness. She certainly passes these fine traits along to her offspring. The Lottery Horse passed some of his superb qualities to Royale as well.

Her spirit is just beautiful and she loves people. Her offspring will inherit her great looks along with her wonderful temperament. She is so calm that our cat feels right at home on her back or laying at her feet.

Meridian is our Big Love Bug! We like to refer to her as a giant teddy bear with hooves! She is always one of the first horses to meet us at the gate, she just loves people. She is 1/2 Shire and 1/2 Friesian. Out of 2500+ horses in the Friesian Sport Horse Registry less than 1% are Shire crosses.

I first met Meridian when we went to a Friesian Sport Horse farm in Wisconsin. Jim and I took a trip up there to look at another filly when we happen to walk by her stall. She was 4 months old at the time and it was love at first sight. I asked why she was in the stall by herself and the former owner replied "she was being weaned".

I left her stall that day and never forgot that face. We ended up purchasing the other one month old filly we went there to look at. Then we waited three long months for the filly be weaned. After she was weaned she was then going to be shipped to us.

Meanwhile during those three long months, I was still thinking about Meridian. The very day that the filly we purchased was on the trailer and going out of the driveway of their farm, I just happened to call the owners and ask if they still had Meridian. To my surprise and shock they still had her, they hadn't sold her. I asked if they could bring her too and they did!

We were so excited to have Meridian as part of our family! I was looking forward to not one but two wonderful fillies coming home. That was about 4 and 1/2 years ago and I still love that face! What a baby doll! She is shown here with Jimmy hearding our buffalo.

Meridian is a beauty...

  • Nice head like a Friesian
  • Long and muscular legs
  • Luxurious long flowing mane and tail
  • Beautiful black shinny coat
  • Broad chest
  • Nice conformation
  • Great bone structure
  • Feathering
  • Sweet kind eyes
  • Kind,sweet personality & disposition
  • Willing to work with you attitude
